LEMON LUSH DESSERT
YOU’LL NEED :
– Flour: 1 cup
– Butter: 1/2 cup
– Pecans: 1/2 cup (chopped)
– Cream cheese: 8 ounces
– Powdered sugar: 1 cup
– Whipped topping: 1 (8 ounce) container (divided)
– Lemon pudding mix: 1 (3 ounce) box
– Sugar: 1/2 cup
– Water: 2 1/4 cups (divided)
– Egg yolks: 2
STEPS TO MAKE IT :
STEP 1 :
Start by mixing together flour, butter and chopped pecans like biscuit dough and press into 8 x 8 inch baking pan. Bake at 400° until brown, it takes around 20 minutes.
STEP 2 :
After that, you’ll want to mix together cream cheese, powdered sugar and 1 cup whipped topping. And please spread over first layer while still warm.
STEP 3 :
Get a medium saucepan and stir in lemon pudding mix, sugar, 1/4 cup water and egg yolks. Immediately stir in 2 cups water. Keep stirring with wire whisk and cook on medium heat until mixture comes to a full boil. (NOTE: make sure to use the ingredients & directions for preparation on the package if you are using instant pudding or a different flavor!).
STEP 4 :
Once done, cool 5 minutes, stirring twice. Cool for another 30 minutes and spread over 2 previous layers. Finally, cool completely and top with remaining whipped topping.
